Curriculum formation is conducted to acquire broad knowledge and practical skills to be applied onsite

To analyze and examine regional issues scientifically, the following three understandings are necessary:

  1. Understanding of regional structure
  2. Understanding of mechanisms and dynamics in the region
  3. Understanding of regional policy and plans

Compulsory core study courses and elective specialized courses impart these in a balanced manner. In response to detailed small-group education in seminars and thesis guidance, we emphasize practical on-site examinations and experience, and promote the acquisition of practical skills and of the three understandings. In addition, we foster collaboration abilities such as communication and coordination.

We enable hands-on learning and internships in the regions throughout the school year.
